Hi,

sir wilhoMy name is Bill Stolberg, aka SirWilho.  I write stories about times in my life that I find humorous now,  but probably weren’t funny to me back then.  These stories are often about my brothers and friends who I love deeply.  I am able to laugh freely at myself and also these same friends and family.  Nobody is above doing something dumb and I like to retell these times via print.

All of my experiences are based on true events and I would not want to lose my integrity by making these things up.  Yes, I will use colorful adjectives and my minds eye to describe the events as I experienced them.

I was born #3 of 4 very rambunctious boys.  If you cried, then a punch was warranted, punching showed affection in our eyes.   Hugs were met with board stiff posture.  We lived outside and thrived on the lakes and woods around us and our time was spent being creative and daring, always pushing the limits.

I think a lot of people will relate to my stories since everyone has a past with such memories.  (Well, maybe not as crazy, but you get the picture)

My writing skills, and I use that term loosely, comes from a whirlwind mind that spews forth memories that were once securely locked away.  Writing makes me happy, it makes me laugh and I hope to share the same happiness and laughter with people who read my works.

I did spend one year in college working towards becoming a photo/journalist, but it didn’t work out.  Instead, I earned my degree from Central Michigan University in Supervision and Management.

At the pinnacle of my career as a Senior Industrial Engineer working at Steelcase, Inc.  I was informed that my previous forgotten Melanoma had once again reared its ugly head.  This progressed me to a stage 3b and my odds of survival over five years were less than 50%.  Ten months of barbaric treatment, that almost left me blind and with a small stroke, ended almost 8 years ago and maybe I am of the lucky 36% that make it to the ten year mark.

My mantra?  Every day is good, just some days better than others.

I am lucky, and feel lucky because I am able to watch my awesome kids growing up.

So please, take some time to read my stories and hopefully they will pull out memories of your own to laugh about.
